What Attendance Management Looks Like With Classroom Hero

Quickly mark students present, tardy, absent, or excused. Tie attendance back into your class's point system and run attendance reports that can be used for keeping class and school-wide metrics

Take Attendance in Just a Few Clicks

A paper roster uses the first minutes of class. On the Students page, choose Attendance and mark each student present, tardy, absent, or excused, or mark the whole class at once. Fix the students who walked in late, save once, and the day is recorded before the warm-up starts.

Give Points for Showing Up, Automatically

Being on time should count without a second pass through the reward list. Set points for present and points for tardy, and Classroom Hero adds them to the same class points students spend in the class store. Absent is always zero, and an excused absence does not earn attendance points.

Let Students Check Themselves In

Calling every name out loud takes the start of the lesson. On the web, students can check themselves in from their own account. Anyone allowed to edit the class can still change a mark, including a student who arrives late.

Keep the Reason With the Excused Absence

An excused day is not the same as a student who never came in. Add a note to an excused absence so the reason stays with that day's attendance in the student's history. When a conference or a follow-up needs the context, it is already on the record.

Walk Into Conferences With the Days in Hand

A meeting goes better with specific days than with a general impression. Generate a report for one student, and attendance is included with their actions and purchases. A class report can cover the last 7, 30, 60, or 90 days when you need the whole room.
