Building School-Wide Community Through Shared Goals
Introducing School Actions, Reinforcers, and School-Wide Goals
Classroom Hero has always been about empowering individual classrooms.
But what happens when you want to build connection, consistency, and purpose across an entire school?
That’s why we’re excited to introduce School Actions, Reinforcers, and School-Wide Goals — a new way for students to contribute their hard-earned points toward shared goals that benefit their whole school community.
What Are School Actions?
School Actions are a school-wide behavior and rewards system managed by school leaders and applied consistently across every classroom.
Instead of each class operating in isolation, School Actions unify expectations, recognition, and goals — helping students feel like they’re part of something bigger.

The Four Pillars of School Actions
Positive Actions (Reinforcers)
These are school-wide rewards students can earn for positive behaviors such as:
Helping a classmate
Perfect attendance
Outstanding effort
Reinforcers create a shared recognition language across all classrooms.
Negative Actions (Subtractors)
School leaders can define consistent consequences for behaviors that need correction.
This ensures:
Fairness across classrooms
Clear expectations for students
Consistent behavior standards school-wide
Items (School Store)
Schools can create a shared store where students spend points on:
School spirit items
Special privileges
Community rewards
These items reinforce positive behavior while building school identity.
Goals (Jars)
School-wide goals are where everything comes together.
Students can contribute points earned in class toward shared goals such as:
New playground equipment
A school-wide celebration
Community service projects
These goals turn individual effort into collective achievement.
How School-Wide Goals Work
School leaders create a goal and define:
Total points required to complete the goal
Daily contribution limits for fairness
Live progress tracking visible to students
Students earn points in their classrooms as usual, then choose how much to contribute toward the shared goal.
Every contribution moves the school closer to success.

Why Collective Contribution Matters
When students work toward shared goals, powerful things happen:
Community building — students see beyond their own classroom
Shared purpose — everyone works toward the same outcome
Real-world impact — contributions visibly matter
Increased motivation — progress bars create excitement
This is collaboration made tangible.
Fair Play with Daily Limits
To keep participation equitable, school leaders can set daily contribution caps.
This prevents a small group of students from dominating progress and ensures:
Equal opportunity
True collaboration
Sustainable engagement
